“My cat Riley looks okay, but he has a pretty deformed face. He has nice ears. He is a very very fat cat and he won’t lose the weight. He doesn’t fit into a cat carrier, to give you an idea of how fat he is.”
Sociability: A
“Riley is a really nice cat that always likes meeting new people. Sometimes he jumps on people he really likes. He jumps on my dad when he comes home, but he doesn’t jump on me, which makes me feel left out. He is always rubbing up on people because he wants hugs and scratches. Don’t wear black pants if you come to my house.”
Usefulness: B
“Sometimes Riley just lays around, so he’s not that useful. But he’s very cute, so it’s nice to have him there to look at. He’s one of those cats that never comes when you tell him to, even if you ask nicely. Sometimes he gets on the couch. Sometimes he goes into a deep depression.”
Huggability: A
“He’s so huggible, and he likes being hugged. He only flinches a little bit. Unless you try to lay down with him, and then he gets up and moves. “

“He really is just very attractive. He wears his tuxedo everywhere he goes, and he wears white socks on every foot. He has a bit of a belly, which we thought was something that all neutered cats have, until our vet told us: “No…he’s just fat.” We started feeding him a bit more after that.”
Sociability: C
“This one’s complicated. Jonathan LOVES houseguests-who-are-people! But he deeply hates other cats. He is friendly with us most of the time, in adorable amazing ways, but when he feels like it he totally tears us up with bloody bites. He’s super awesome, because he’s very curious and outgoing, but sometimes he really needs to let up.”
Usefulness: A
“Jonathan gets high marks on usefulness because he is totally fine being transported to other places. It is really effing useful that we can bring him with us when we go away for the weekend—he very clearly even LIKES exploring new houses. He did unfortunately recently learn how to vomit in the car.”
Huggability: B
“On his own terms, dude. When the alarm goes off in the morning, Jon is READY for some snuggles. When the snooze goes off five minutes later, he’s back for more. I just upped his grade because of how deeply in love with him I fall every morning. But if you try to spoon him, he’s up and running at the first sniff of your desperation.”
Overall Grade: B+
